Hydro and Civil Engineering
We provide subsea and underwater inspections, repair and maintenance services for our client's subsea or underwater structures and/or objects.
Table of Contents:
Underwater Dam, Spillway, Intake Structures and Outlet Works Inspection
Dams are structures that are subject to immense amounts of pressure. Inspections are important to properly assess the condition of the dam to ensure the safety and continued reliability of the structure.

Underwater Bridge Pier, Abutment and Foundation Inspections
Bridge piers support the vertical loads of the bridge structure, while abutments provide support at each end and retain the approach embankment. The structural integrity of these components is critical to the safety and serviceability of the bridge.
Using diver-deployed underwater CCTV with two-way communication for real-time monitoring, together with underwater Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment (UT, CP, MPI, FMD, etc.), Prima Subsea Services performs detailed inspections of piers, abutments, and foundations, assessing structural condition, material degradation, scour, and damage to ensure continued compliance with safety and engineering standards.

Underwater Jetty, Quay Wall and Waterfront Structure Inspections
Jetties are pile-supported structures extending into the water to provide vessel access and berthing, while quay walls are solid waterfront structures designed to retain soil and allow ships to berth directly alongside.
Prima Subsea Services conducts comprehensive underwater inspections using high-resolution CCTV systems and specialized NDT equipment (UT, CP, MPI, FMD, etc.) to evaluate structural condition, corrosion levels, pile integrity, and damage. These inspections verify that structural elements remain capable of supporting operational loads and help identify defects before they develop into critical failures.

Underwater Hot and Cold Anode Works
Hot Anode Works involves welding the anode directly onto the structure while underwater with the help of our certified divers.
Cold Anode Works involves the installation of anodes without welding, and instead using clamps, bolts, straps or brackets with mechanical fasteners.
Marine Growth and Debris Accumulation Surveys
Marine growth and debris accumulation survey checks on how much biological growth (such as barnacles, seaweed, etc.) and foreign material (trash, nets, slits, etc.) have built up around underwater and waterfront structures.
This is to check for hazards or troubleshoot for unknown defects, as well as improving vessel performance due to unintended additional drag from the growths.

As-built, As-found and Post-construction Inspection
As-built inspection is to check and report the status of a structure or equipment after its completion.
As-found inspection is to observe and record the status of the equipment or structure before any changes is made to it.
Post-construction inspection is to review the construction and installation of the structure or equipment after the project has been completed. This is to ensure that there are no damages or defects before the item is put into service.

Bathymetric Surveys and Seabed Investigations
Through partnerships with a network of trusted hydrographic and geophysical survey specialists, Prima Subsea Services can also deliver bathymetric surveys and detailed seabed investigations.
These services support infrastructure assessment, dredging studies, scour evaluation, asset installation planning, and long-term monitoring of seabed conditions. By integrating survey data with underwater inspection findings, we provide clients with a comprehensive understanding of both structural integrity and surrounding seabed environments.
